As part of our commitment to ensuring a safe learning and working environment for all pupils and staff, we are closely monitoring the latest Met Office and Department for Education (DfE) guidance regarding the upcoming extreme weather.
As you will be aware, our school is in an area currently under a red warning for extreme heat and following official guidance, we have therefore taken the decision to close on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
We will re-open once the red warning has been lifted. (Monday 29th June)Temporary school closure - Wednesday 24th June and Thursday 25th JuneWe never take the decision to close the school lightly, and we fully recognise the impact and disruption this has on our pupils and families.
However, given the exceptional and unprecedented nature of this weather warning, we need to prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our children and staff above all else. You may be aware that most other local schools in Red warning areas are also planning to close.
Please see the letter on ClassDojo for further information.
